Standard of Practice
As your therapist, my focus is on assisting you in addressing, accepting, planning, adapting, and growing as you deal with the internal and external demands of your life. I utilize my 45+ years of clinical experience as a mental health therapist to collaborate with my clients in helping each achieve their specific mental health and relationship goals.
Distance counseling has many advantages yet contains challenges different from having sessions in my office. In order to ensure your privilege communication as well as to maximize the benefits from each session, I strongly recommend the following:
Have a private location while we talk
Give yourself 5 to 10 minutes to prepare for the session
Do not drive, therapy is very distracting
Inform me of any problems interfering with a session
